Gateway to nowhere

.

Abandoned pillars of an old gateway.

One of the mysteries in the wilderness valley where I often hike, right below my village.
.
The January sky above the Jerusalem Hills is for SkyWatch Friday.

I wonder how old?
Jerusalem Hills looks so much better in the sunshine!

Adullamite, shalom. Probably the pillars are a bit more than a hundred years old.
If you saw snow only one day per five years, you might like it too. No?

Do You have any idea, who build these pillars and what for?

Mysterious - wonder what the pillars are from?

Makes it somehow look like a 'magic gate'.

Please have a good Friday.

Two identical pillars stand inside the territory of the local monastery.
