A Negev sunset

.

No, it's not a bomb.  Not yet, anyway.
It is just a dramatic sunset over Meitar and the desert a few days ago.
Enlarge the photo to see how the crepuscular ray in the middle "cuts" the cloud.

A peaceful picture for SkyWatch Friday.

  8. My cousin chose to live in the Negev for quite a few years, then moved to Jerusalem and has been there ever since. He loves Jerusalem, of course.

Why did you move in the opposite direction? Space, landscape, family, work?

  9. There can and will, I hope, be a diplomatic solution. We must strive for it.

  11. Friends, thanks for all these good wishes.

Helen, it was hard to move away from Jerusalem and I miss her, but she is always in my heart.
Changes in my immediate neighborhood in the moshav in the last year made living there not what it used to be. As luck would have it, my daughter and her family in Australia decided to come live in Meitar in the Negev for seven months. They arrive in October. The house they will rent is just a kilometer from the apartment that I moved into just now. I will get to see my three grandchildren so often now!

very wise decision. Living near grandchildren is the BEST gift we can receive!!

I went to visit four of my grandchildren in Northern California this southern winter. They look wonderful.. I do not *sad sigh*.
