Jerusalem traffic gets heavy in late afternoon.
This is near Jaffa Gate.
And if you remember you should be going in the other direction, well, just drive over the solid white line and make a U turn. :-(
The blue and white striped sheruts take Arab residents of Bethlehem back home.
Sometimes traffic is so heavy cars are even stacked two high.

LOL re your last comment.
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you. I've been by Jaffa Gate a number of times.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does get busy! Still, there is order in that chaos.
ReplyDeleteEven your traffic is interesting!

Hehe:-) Great the last one! It`s a very busy gate.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
hee hee
ReplyDeleteIt reminds «Louis» of traffic in Paris - especially the one doing the u-turn!
I like your last sentence. It made me laugh! Hahaha ...
ReplyDeleteWell, Bandung probably has worse traffic than Jerussalem. So, I'd be okay if I visit Jerussalem one day.
Sheruts fot Bethlehem now look like normal minibus, they were more picturesque in the 90s! I think I would feel quite at home in this traffic!
ReplyDeleteAt least they stick to their lanes when they're going straight! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat last comment of yours got me chuckling.
This traffic is like Hawaii. Do you know we have a stretch of highway that is the 2nd worst in the nation?
