Tail-bearing

. . Please click and enlarge this photo.

This little guy stayed a long time, enjoying my cool moist towel on a hot day.
Please, do you know, will his poor tail be regenerated?

Many more animal pictures from many more bloggers at Camera-Critter Sunday.

Lizards around here in Georgia lose their tails and they grow new ones........I think?.......I hope........maybe?.....oh gosh, I don't know!!!!

The lizards that look similar from down here in the southeast U.S.A. do eventually grow their tails back. Very good captures of him/her. They are so fast down here to get pictures sometimes. :-)

Aw, I'm glad he had the towel to relax on. I think their tails do grow back as far as I know but I'm not certain.
Good photos, I enjoyed them.

I think it will grow a new tail, but I'm not an expert. What a neat new friend you've made here!

this little critter reminds of a native New Zealand lizard called the tuatara - a very distinct creature!

Good pics! Yes the lizard will have a new tail! At least in Australia they grow new tails!

My what long toes the lizard has. Great shot.

I'm thinking they must be like geckos in Hawaii. They regenerate their tails all the time.
