.
Maybe the window-dresser for this store in Mamilla Mall knew about James' Weekend Reflections meme.
He or she thoughtfully provided a mirror so I could get reflections both in the window glass and in the mirror.
Well . . . more likely, the mirror is for the ballerina to practice in front of.
.
The writing says WINTER TO REMEMBER 2010-11.
Summer, however, refuses to leave Israel. We are still having sharav heatwaves.
This other window in the mall was not reflecting anything, but the light inside made these pretty silhouettes.
.
Wishing you lots of light and joy and time for reflection on the coming Sabbath.
Shabbat shalom, peace.

Hi Dina! Sorry I've been absent - summer was a blur, so busy, and lately I've had computer problems... what fun. I hope all is well. I love the reflection pic - did you realize you were reflected in the mirror when you took it? So many times when I take pics, I don't notice every little thing until I get in up on the computer and then I'm pleasantly surprised with the results. Shalom.
ReplyDeleteAhalan Susie of and in Arabia!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your problems. Sachtein to your computer.
Yes, this is one of the few times that I actually planned the reflection. The meme has taught me to do that. But I know what you mean--there are still plenty of nice surprises on the screen.
Ma is-salaam.
A blogging ballerina is not bad :-)

Nice self-portrait... This ballerina is so gracious, and it is so nice to discover your reflection on this mirror... Nice catch !
ReplyDeleteBalance - probably the most difficult mean of movement, yet the most successful one.

The ballerina looks like she's dancing for you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the silhouettes on the second shop window! Are they paper cut-outs or painted on?

What a lovely reflection... of YOU, Dina! And I like how you captured the silhouettes too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice post, I like both of your pictures.
ReplyDeleteShalom friends. Thanks for all your nice remarks.
ReplyDeleteHilda, I didn't go in the store to look, but I think those pieces making the silhouettes are of metal or maybe plastic.
Come on Dina, go back and strike a pose. Arabesque! for sure.
ReplyDeleteJan from Greensboro, LOL! Me, strike a pose in front of hundreds of people at the mall?? I even had to look up the other definition for arabesque (having never taken ballet).
ReplyDeleteThanks for a good laugh. :)
love these dina, just wonderful...I especially love the second one.
ReplyDelete2 lovely photos
ReplyDeleteShalom, Peace to you!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very endearing figurine. The whole effect with the reflections is really lovely. :-)
