The ballerina and the blogger

.
Maybe the window-dresser for this store in Mamilla Mall knew about James' Weekend Reflections meme.
He or she thoughtfully provided a mirror so I could get reflections both in the window glass and in the mirror.
Well . . . more likely, the mirror is for the ballerina to practice in front of.
.
The writing says WINTER TO REMEMBER 2010-11.
Summer, however, refuses to leave Israel. We are still having sharav heatwaves.

This other window in the mall was not reflecting anything, but the light inside made these pretty silhouettes.
.
Wishing you lots of light and joy and time for reflection on the coming Sabbath.
Shabbat shalom, peace.

  1. Hi Dina! Sorry I've been absent - summer was a blur, so busy, and lately I've had computer problems... what fun. I hope all is well. I love the reflection pic - did you realize you were reflected in the mirror when you took it? So many times when I take pics, I don't notice every little thing until I get in up on the computer and then I'm pleasantly surprised with the results. Shalom.

Sorry about your problems. Sachtein to your computer.
Yes, this is one of the few times that I actually planned the reflection. The meme has taught me to do that. But I know what you mean--there are still plenty of nice surprises on the screen.
    Ma is-salaam.

Such small project can be very fun, especially when they turn out like this.

  11. Balance - probably the most difficult mean of movement, yet the most successful one.

Warm enough of a T-Shirt over here as well. Wonderful the last picture as well. Please have a good weekend you all.

I love the silhouettes on the second shop window! Are they paper cut-outs or painted on?

  17. Shalom friends. Thanks for all your nice remarks.

Hilda, I didn't go in the store to look, but I think those pieces making the silhouettes are of metal or maybe plastic.

  19. Jan from Greensboro, LOL! Me, strike a pose in front of hundreds of people at the mall?? I even had to look up the other definition for arabesque (having never taken ballet).
Thanks for a good laugh. :)
