Written on stone

.
Yesterday the nation celebrated Jerusalem Day.
Forty-five years already since the Six Day War ended, allowing Jerusalem to be put back together.
.
The photo is from June 2010 when the Jerusalem Light Festival lit up Damascus Gate in many grand ways.
Yes, it's true, We love Jerusalem.

  2. hi beautiful Dina, this is hauntingly beautiful. It is like a place between heaven and earth. We are earthlings so how can we live totally in the sky and how can we meditate on God and live totally on the earth.
This reminds me once again of our misalette Prions en Église.
As you know I was brought up in a strong catholic familly and my god is love and light and I use the sunday catholic church as symbolism to attain my spiritual goals.
and this book keeps me updated on the newest interpretations of the doctrine and I find that the church is now flexible and is leaning towards my practices.
I was amazed to read this in the missalette ofmay 20 2012-about the ascension- that you made such a beautiful post on.
it says that it is unthinkable to interpret this experience as a spatial voyage between the earth and the sky...
rather it represents the sky represents- the communion of the resurrected -the transcendence to god.
I find it liberating to read these views. as in catholocism and Judaism the ancient power of the religion is cumulative as it propells itself through the centuries gaining force but it must be flexible to modern times and it must be open ended on its interpretations.
shalom may your day be embraced in divine light.
