Trappist

Trappist Monastery of Latrun, not far from Jerusalem, to the west.

Trappists are a silent order. No talking but much singing.
Notice the monk at the organ.

  2. Shalom Mary Helen,
Want to trade some rain for sun?
We are in the half year when no rain falls in Israel. Today it is 90 degrees F. I miss the clouds and rain.
Thanks for your kind birthday wishes.

  3. Thanks for showing the Monastry of Latrum. In The Netherlands the Trappist monks produce beer. Do they do that here as well? I like all your information.

  4. Wil, shalom.
Your monks make beer? Nice! Our Trappists make wine and have a big shop at the entrance to the monastery that can hold busloads of pilgrims/tourists.
    I think maybe also honey.
