"The smoking corner" (pinat ha-ishun) outside Hadassah hospital.

If you enlarge this photo, you can enjoy the fact that this religious Jew is using the bench and shelter and the free moment to study, perhaps a page of Talmud.

Interesting photo. Always time for a little more study.
ReplyDeleteMoneythoughts, that's right. No "bitul Torah" around here. :)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, no doubt better for one's health - both physically and spiritually!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a bus stop. Painful photo as I am due for heart surgery very soon, after 35 years of smoking.
ReplyDeleteAt least smokers don't get soaked when it's raining.
ReplyDeleteIt's a sturdy shelter for a smoke! Did they do it rocket-proof?
ReplyDeleteLouis, yep. (Easy for me to say since I never smoked and never had to try to quit.)
ReplyDeleteOh Rob, heart surgery?! Wishing you the very best for a smooth recovery and improvement.
Ciel, not many rain days around here. But shade is good for the hot sun.
VP, no, but they may have to soon. With Syria giving Hizballah Scud missiles now, Jerusalem is within its 435-mile range if fired from Lebanon. :(
Interesting spontaneous picture, Dina.
ReplyDeleteThat's considerate, they give them a shelter. Here we get clumps of people huddling under roof overhangs and getting wet. Still doesn't discourage them from smoking.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a busstop..You can study everywhere:-)
ReplyDeleteWish you a great weekend!
Very interesting capture, Dina!
ReplyDeleteIsrael should put Syria on notice that any Scud missiles that land in Israel will see a ten-fold response to Syria. As Clint Eastwood would say, "make my day."
ReplyDeleteYou didn't disturbed this peacefull moment, Dina.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful glimpse of health vs containment.
ReplyDeleteShabbat Shalom!
