Beautiful shot! I took a lot of photos of this when I was there. But we think the place of Jesus grave is in the garden another place. Wish you a great day in Jerusalem:-) Hugs from Norway
and Dina, as you know I do not take the catholic religion literally but symbollicaly as a beautiful meditation and that this scripture represents for me a new beginning -
EPISTLE Romans 6.3 -11 Brothers and sisters: Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we have been buied with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the father, we we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
I thought this scripture might be awesome with your awesome photo. thanks again for that.
We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.For whoever has died is freed from sin.But if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
W know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again;death no longer has dominion over him. the death he died he died to sin, once for all; but the life he lives,he lives to God. So you must also consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
CATHOLIC LITURGY ...We praise you with greater joy than ever in this Easter season, when Christ became our paschal sacrifice. He has made us children of the light, rising to new and everlasting life. He has opened the gates of heaven to receive his faithful people. His death is our ransom from death" his resurrection is our rising to life.
That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem" and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together. These were sayin"The Lord has risen indeed, and he has appeared to Simon".
A beautiful and meaningful shot.
