  1. Chanuka is definitely not a time for dieting! I'm happy that Chanuka ended on a festive (and delicious!) note. It has been a difficult week for Israel.

In one of my favourite cafés @Starbucks, they always have an extravagant christmas decoration and gift display. It is very commercial but it is pretty.

At the top of the shelf thay had a candalabra of blue candles for chanuka I noticed today. It was so pretty.

  10. Sara, my whole house smells of hot oil. Glad we don't do that frying every day.

    Andrea, be well, be careful.
The fire is over; now Israel starts learning the lessons from it. I was far from it and was not affected physically, only emotionally.

    Cloudia! You stay afloat! Literally.

Leif, the chanukiah was a gift from my daughter. Very unique. Made in Sde Boker, Ben-Gurion's old kibbutz.

Kay, I wish you were here to share latkes and jelly donuts.

    Gunn, thank you!

Ciel, but you are not too late. Today, Thursday, is the last day of Chanuka. (A Jewish day goes from sunset to sunset.)
I wonder how artistic you would decorate for this holiday.
    Sorry about your snow problems.
Nice to see you ranting for a change.

Crederae, shalom! It would be fun to see a chanukiah at Starbuck's.
