Showers of blessing

.

RAIN! It's raining in Israel, at last, after eight hot dry months!
.
Just in time to cool the simmering ground near Haifa at the end of our four-day Mt. Carmel fire.
.
Temperatures in Jerusalem have suddenly fallen from the recent 70s and 80s F down to the 50s and 60s (= 11-16 C).
.
Now, with the forest fire behind us and the winter rain ahead of us, hopefully we will be able to enter the mood of Chanuka and celebrate a bit.

Thank you, dear readers, for your expressions of support during the difficult days of fire.

  1. Let's call this a miracle, a bit overdue, but always a miracle.

  2. Hallelujah the rain has come! At last! I thought of you yesterday as we sang the "Hymn of the Day" - "Blessed Be the God of Israel" and at other points during our worship service; I wondered how Dina in J. Hills is doing...

  6. Hello again, Dina. I have followed the fire at danish TV and read about the Evergreen Supertanker in a newspaper. They did not tell how this plane was found. It was good that someone remembered something - and took action. Not all can be known, and I think it is a very difficult question you put up yesterday. It would have been good if Israel had known about the plane, but it was not so. One person knew - which was better than none. I find the photo from "out there" is fantastic. And it is good to hear about the rain.

  8. Pity it didn't rain when needed... But I was very happy when I heard on the news the tragedy has come to an end.

  9. What a relief! They say we're going to have a big storm tonight here as well. So far, nothing though.
