Beer Sheva is a city in the dry Negev desert.
But it wants to be branded as Israel's "Water City."
And so there are some thirty fountains.
This one, The Globe, turns around and around in a shower of water.
At night it is illuminated with colored lights, or so I learn from this little video of Beer Sheva's fountains:
I love fountains, thirty sounds quite good for a place near the desert...

It's really amazing to see these fabulous fountains in a desert. Each one is very original and artistically awesome.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous to look at and cooling in summer. I hope the water is recycled.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Ack! We will miss our fountains this year. Municipal fountains will be off for the duration of the drought.
