HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, DEAR AMERICA !
In honor of America's Bicentennial, Jerusalem created the Liberty Bell Garden in 1976. A replica of Philadelphia's Liberty Bell is mounted in the center of the park.
But without the crack.
"Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants thereof . . ." is part of the inscription on the bell and is taken from Leviticus 25:10.
Happy 4th of July to Americans and Shabbat shalom, Sabbath peace, to everyone.
.
Thanks for thinking of us Americans.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dina! A Happy 4th of July to you, too. Isn't it wonderful to be able to choose where to live and how to live? Much happiness to you, today and everyday.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dina. These symbols truly keep us in touch. What an honor that are friends in Israel did that.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that! Interesting! Let's hope that the American Nation will be reminded of what it stands for and will find their way back from a path that it has been lead to by this dreadful administration.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
