The desert says good night

.

The other evening, around 6:00 pm, I felt a pretty sunset coming on.
So I walked a block down to the end of Meitar, stepped out into the desert, and looked all around.
To the west the sun was quickly sinking.

To the northeast,  fingers of pink clouds reached out of the South Hebron Hills.
A hand stretched out in blessing, before the fall of night?

  1. That is exactly what I also do when I shoot a sunset . I also take a photo of the sky opposite the sunset or sunrise. It's amazing that the colours in both photos are so different.
    Shabbat shalom, Dina!

  3. It is usually the sea that says goodnight to us here, but I see that also the desert can be quite colorful at sunset!

  4. Shalom friends, thanks for all your nice wishes.

VP, funny, but whenever I look from Meitar due west and say goodnight to the sun, I think of it dipping into the Mediterranean, just off the coast of the Gaza Strip.
