A cool winter day it was, but my friend Shachar found a welcome spot of warm sunshine in the olive tree.
She sensed the sun would soon be setting, so she literally gave her grooming "a lick and a promise."
Shachar seemed quite smug about the results.
Her beauty shines through even better if you enlarge the photos.

A cat's expression says so much!
Beautiful girl! What a great spot she's found!
The cat always knows where the best situations are to be found :-)

Cats are the ultimate survivors, doing the best out of everything.
She is lovely. Cats do love their tree positions don't they?
It seems cats know when they're adored.
glad you have such a fine companion, Dina

She found the perfect spot to soak up some sun and take a bath at the same time, albeit a hasty bath.
Thats a clever girl your friend....
and thanks Dina for the link with the explanation.
Is Shachar a wild cat?
She surely looks proud about the results of her grooming. :)
Friends, thanks for your comments. I so agree with them all. :)
Eki, Shachar and her mother, Lara, are "semi-wild." They live outdoors, in the woods. My friends offer them a little food everyday in return for the cats' killing snakes and mice.
Shachar lets me pet her but will not let me hold her. Lara likes me to play with her, and we go for walks together.
She looks a lot like my neighbor's cat, Scruffy, who spends a lot of time in my yard. A pretty girl :)
