.
This is the scene that made my day today.
Just outside the Old City wall.
Of course, it's common to see nuns in Jerusalem.
But it's not everyday that you see half a dozen walking down the street eating ice cream cones!
(Enlarge the photo twice and you can spot one on the left.)
They were all chattering happily in the warmish afternoon sun.
You know, those nuns probably would have kept smiling even if I had taken the photo in front of them . . . .
You think?

I've taught with sisters; lovely women! I bet they would have been gracious.
ReplyDeleteThey may have... if you asked and offered to treat them to another cone. That would have made me smile. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww....what a great photo! It is so nice to see them enjoying themselves like that...they are "ceasing the moment." Thanks so much for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they are lots happier than the poor women in Hebrew Playboy.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to see religious men and women having fun. And I agree with Mark.
ReplyDeleteCute capture! :-)
ReplyDeletelove the shadow play on the photo

Quite rare to see nuns around here, but I saw many in Rome and they liked ice creams...
