Oi veh, this is the second Shabbat in a row that I find a dead animal in the grass.
Maybe I should not have wished for something to post on Camera Critters.
Shachar actually led me to it.
She was more interested in playing with the poor gecko, batting it around, than eating it.
I think this cat was not the one who killed the critter, and she is too proud to be a scavenger.

One can't blame the cat, but I'm sorry for the gecko.
ReplyDeletePoor little gecko! I read once that lizards are one of the most common cat prey items.
ReplyDeleteNice post that you had earlier about the new pope. Hope he turns out to be a good guy. He does already seems more approachable than his predecessor.
We have geckos too, but they are a lot smaller than yours. Yours looks a lot more interesting.
ReplyDeletePoor gecko!
ReplyDeleteLove those gecko commercials on TV.
ReplyDelete"I can't believe I have a flat tire!"
My little cat (who's not really my little cat ) but she comes for breakfast most mornings, she loves to play with geckos, Luckily I've managed to save a few :) this little one was not so lucky, like the wee hedgehog yesterday!
ReplyDeleteThere is no two without three...
ReplyDeleteoh, nice post but sad about the gecko. "Our" cat will never fint this cind of toys..
ReplyDeleteMany cats love to show off their preys to their masters. I'd be tempted to think that Sashar kill the gecko. Cats are cats.
