Crusader circles

 .
Two circles in the floor, from Crusader times, 12th century.

One complete with an Advent wreath.

One with marks from water-drawing ropes of the centuries.

  4. Wow! It looks like these have been protected, in order to be in such good condition. I suppose they seemed unremarkable over the centuries.

  6. Hi dear readers. Well, the one with the groves was a well. The other is inside a Crusader building, the room where it is is today a chapel. I think it was an opening into a storage place under the floor.
