A bird of paradise.
The plant itself is really big, here in the inner yard of Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva.
The pictures are from over a month ago; I suppose these Strelitzia flowers are no more. Spring is way too short in the desert.

Those are so pretty:) They can be found also in Tel Aviv center,near Ichilov hospital.

ReplyDeleteThere are some that I am looking at out my window right now. Seems like they bloom all year round here. They are a bonus if you like bold and exotic flower arrangements, though it's not something I've ever tried to create. I've been thinking of thinning them out quite a bit or even removing them.
