For ABC Wednesday, T is for tilting trees.
I found these pines leaning only when I came up over the north side of the hill.
On the top they were nice and straight.
You can click twice to enlarge the photos and enjoy the forest.
On the south side of the ridge, the trees stood tall.
I love wandering in the forests and the desert near my home.

Very curious!
ReplyDeleteIt must get very windy, often, for those trees to lean this way. I've seen this before in Provence and on the West Coast of California too.
ReplyDeleteThere must be a lot of wind on the north side. They look kinda funny, all tilting in the same direction like they are in a hurry to get to the top.
ReplyDeleteCurious, it must be a windy place... isn't it?
ReplyDeleteSun salutations, for sure.
ReplyDeleteNamaste!

I guess it's the wind, and probably quite strong!
ReplyDeleteHi Dina! This phenomenon of leaning trees,is also to be seen in my country near the coast, where there is always a strong western wind.
ReplyDeleteIt must be wonderful to walk there.Do you remember the walks we had in the woods near the strawbale appartment? I loved that.
Have a great week.

Funny trees. Stretching for the sun. They'll head anywhere. "I follow the sun."
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of the trees, specially the ones that are leaning.

Those leaning trees are something else.

When we first came to the Similkameen the trees all seemed to lean, but either the winds have become less strong or further plantings have protected the leaners, as they all seem straight to me now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wind that must have been!
