In a nice shop for cooking and baking equipment in Vienna.
At the Christmas markets I saw plenty of chestnuts being roasted.
But this was my first time to see walnuts being dried on a radiator.

Pictures of life in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Hills. And since August 2013 also a look at the northern Negev, my new home.
Dina I have dried my walnuts next to the radiator but I think on it is the best option
ReplyDeleteNever knew that walnuts needed to be dried. Interesting, and why not on the radiator!! Of course, we don't have radiators in our homes here in SoCal. I wonder what people do here. There are walnut trees, that I know.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. Good usage of power. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you Dina!
Why not, Dina? If they are dry, they are much easier to crack.
ReplyDeleteThat's new to me.
ReplyDeleteOh my looking at the yummies makes me hungry Dina : )
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! What a clever way to make the most use of energy.
